RATTLE AND ROLL FAQ

Where are classes located?


Classes at Severna Park Gymnastics, SPG, are located at 1244 Ritchie Hwy. The phone number is 410-709-8130.  The entrance to this location is southbound on Ritchie Hwy. just past the YWCA/AACC light in Arnold, and sits across the highway from Severna Park Golf.  PLEASE USE THE UPPER PARKING LOT BEHIND SPG FIRST FOR PARKING SPACES!

Classes at Thrive Gymnastics are located at 2305 Katcef Ave. in Annapolis. The phone number is 410-995-8130.  The entrance to this site is between Patient First and West End Grill on West Street.  You can only access Thrive’s driveway from West St. heading east.  Please note:  if you would like to use navigation apps for your directions, please use the address for Patient First at 2051 West St., Annapolis, MD, 21401.

What is the makeup policy?


ALL MAKEUP CLASSES MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE SPACE AVAILABILITY. Due to high enrollment, makeup spots are limited and therefore cannot be guaranteed. We will try to find a makeup spot that works with your schedule.

How do I schedule a makeup?


Please review our class schedule, and request a few preferred makeup class options through our Contact form.  We will notify you within one business day whether a preferred class is available.  If you miss a class that includes the Open Play component, you may attend any of the Open Play events at Severna Park Gymnastics or Thrive Gymnastics.  Preregister online at their Events calendar page.  Upon your arrival for Open Play, inform the front desk that you are attending a makeup for the Rattle and Roll program.

What is your refund policy?


Registration cancellations occurring more than 1 week prior to the start of a session are eligible for a refund. No refund will be given for cancellations occurring within 1 week of session start or once a session has begun.

Why are we required to remove our shoes for classes?


It is the policy of Severna Park Gymnastics and Thrive Gymnastics to remove shoes before entering the matted classrooms to prevent damage to the mats in those facilities.  To ensure safety on gym equipment, students are also required to remove their socks during Open Play in the gym.

Can I bring food or drink into the Rattle and Roll classroom or gym?


Food or drinks are not permitted in the classroom or gym.  However, you may step into the lobby at any time during class to nourish yourselves.

Can I bring a non-enrolled sibling to class?


Non-enrolled siblings are welcome to attend a class one time free of charge during the session in which you are enrolled.  Additional visits will require preapproval from Rattle and Roll and will incur a guest fee of $15 per visit.  To request bringing your non-enrolled child, please send a note through our Contact page located on our website at rocktherattle.com/contact-me/.

What is your class cancellation and inclement weather policy?


If class is cancelled for any reason, we will post information on our Facebook page and will attempt to send notice by email as soon as possible.  We follow the Anne Arundel County inclement weather school policy. If schools are closed OR delayed due to inclement weather, all Rattle and Roll classes scheduled for that day will be cancelled.   For the most up-to-date weather announcements, please monitor announcements from AACPS.  Cancelled classes are typically rescheduled for the week following the final week of the current session.

What is your Holiday Closing Schedule?


Rattle and Roll will not hold classes on the following holidays/breaks:

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Week – Monday through Friday

  • Winter Break – Dec. 24 through Jan. 1

  • Easter/Passover – Thursday and Friday before and Monday following Easter

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day
